What is the Crestline Alpine Mall ?
Thursday, July 31, 2008 17:16We don’t really have a mall, per se, in the 1980s sense of “enclosed mega shopping space.” But Crestline DOES have a modest outdoor retail area called the Alpine Mall. It’s a cluster of cute retail cabins. There’s also decent parking (which in Crestline means flat parking where you don’t have to back out into traffic) .
Once you enter the pedestrian courtyard inside the retail cabin area, you’ll see a little man-made rocky stream with a fountain, flowers, some pretty bridges and benches, and a few neat shops. More shops are needed! A kiosk provides a community board with flyers about community events and information. It’s a nice setting.
Crestline Alpine Mall Shops -
- Cuby Bakery for Dogs (and Dog Behavior Workshops, plus Dog Agility area)
- Mountain Books and Rarities - 909-589-0411 Used Books. (10AM to 6PM, closed Monday and Tuesday)
- Country Corner Antiques (around the back, past the back parking lot)
- A hair salon
- A tax preparer that won’t take on freelance clients
- A vet that is never open
- There was a facialist, but I think that was recently replaced by something else - I need to check
- Lots of empty cabins waiting for someone to rent and add their retail magic to
The Alpine Mall is located directly across from the Crestline Post Office, at 23928 Lake Drive.

Looks and sounds nice. We have that new big place over in glendale called the Americana Brand. Parking lot is scarey the way it twists and turns.

Yeah, it’s very charming. I like sitting by the little cafe table placed near the stream, reading my new books in the sunlight!

I’ve visited malls all across America and a few in Europe, but none as as charming and friendly as Crestline Alpine Mall.

Yeah, it’s got that going for it. What shop would YOU make in it if you had the chance? I am thinking, for me a yoga studio/outdoor gear shop.
For you? craft shop? thrift store?
