American Idol Camp Concerts at Lake Arrowhead Village
Sunday, July 27, 2008 22:44The show “American Idol” is constantly one of the most watched reality competitions on TV, so there’s a good bet there’s a fan somewhere in your house.
If that’s the case, you’ll love the concert series that Lake Arrowhead Village has put together with the official American Idol Camp, which is holding a summer session at Pali Mountain at Lake Arrowhead.
These appearances are a one day event that brings in a contestant from the show’s many seasons to perform live and sign autographs for fans. Best of all, the event is completely free if you don’t mind watching the concert from the grass seating area of the Center Stage outdoor venue.
Want a more up-close view? Reserved table seating is available for either $75 for a party of four (including 4 beverages) or $125 for a full table that includes seating and 1 beverage a piece for 10 people. That breaks down to $12.50 a person for reserved seating and a soda/beer, which is still a bargain.
The line-up for August includes two separate American Idol finalist concerts, starting with Vonzell Soloman onĀ Friday, August 1st. Those who followed the fourth season of the TV show will remember that Soloman placed third in the finals, behind Bo Bice and Grammy-winner Carrie Underwood.
She’s followed by Chris Sligh on Friday, August 8th. He appeared on season six of the competition, and made it into the top ten before getting voted off.
Lake Arrowhead Village is a short drive from Crestline, making this a perfect family outing. Don’t forget to bring your cameras!
