Since Lake Arrowhead hosts the mountain community’s 4th of July, Crestline gets the 5th for annual partying. The Crestline July 5th Jamboree starts at 10AM with a parade on Lake Drive (through downtown).

One thing I found particularly charming was that Darth Vader and a legion of stormtroopers will be marching in said parade (see the picture of the Sith lord and his minions on the Chamber of Commerce link I provided above).

The festival will run Saturday from 10AM through 7PM, and a “beat the heat” chili cook-off is scheduled for Sunday the 6th, also in downtown, from 10AM through 6:30PM. Both days will feature tons of live music and is expected to be a popular event.

Don’t expect to find parking near downtown or to be able to actually DRIVE across town. Free. Call 909-338-2706 for more information.
