Double Dog Ranch Somewhere Near Crestline
Friday, June 27, 2008 14:05This dog ranch looks like a good place to kennel my dogs if I have to at some point. We do have an arrangement with our neighbor for dog sitting, but he (the neighbor) also goes to school, and may not always be available.
The Double Dog Ranch info page is quite personable and has a nice clear FAQ.
There is also a picture of the very interesting sign in the Goodwin’s Market parking lot that warns it’s a misdemeanor to abandon your dogs and cats up here in the mountains. Apparently this is such a big problem that the dog ranch won’t even provide info on their exact location. Very “secret agent” man.
I’ve been browsing their website and am impressed with their fenced area - there are grassy areas, shady gardens and a lovely forest to play in. They also offer dog bathing and a dog college.
The dog college sounds wonderful! Not cheap - it’s $500 a week for three weeks, plus board. But your dog comes home *guaranteed* trained for life. That could end up worth it in the long run.
If you like to look at dogs playing, they have a multi-page dog gallery. They did a nice job with their website and the program seems top notch.
