Dog Park vs Ball Field - A Multi-use Zone

It’s taken a bit of time to realize this, but one can actually use the dog park when it is in use as it’s primary function as a sports field.

Since school let out, the field has been in constant use by youngsters. My assumption was that no dogs were permitted at those times. So I have been using the areas around the ball field slash dog park - the creekside, the cove and the wooded area behind the parking lots.

Today a helpful dog owner (with a sweet blue heeler, and a heeler/aussie mix named Buddha) told me it’s okay to use the park as long as the other half of the field is open, and if the dogs leave the kids alone.

Well, that sounds quite civilized. I am not used to such an easy-going way of living!
