Lake Gregory Trail Loop

Dan and I wrote and published a trail description of the lovely loop trail around Lake Gregory at Suite101.com. It’s in the Hiking and Backpacking topic, and includes a picture. lake gregory in crestline californiaI need to get more pictures, actually. It’s a great loop and there are two options - you can hike the path directly on the shoreline (which boasts fitness stations), or take the jogging loop up along the edge of the road encircling the lake. Either way takes you right along the beach.

Both trails are about 2.5 miles (the upper trail adds a bit extra to the loop). The lakeside trail takes about 45 minutes to hike at a slow and steady pace. Leashed dogs are welcome, and you do go right by the Crestline dog park for a bit of off-leash romping (link leads to my article/photos on the subject).

That looks like a gorgeous place to hike and the lake looks wonderful too.  It looks like there are a lot of fir trees in the background. I love evergreens!

Looks like a nice place to do some rounds of jogging or walking while enjoying the lake scenery and the shades of the trees.

Living in the desert I’ve come to really appreciate the forest. I would love to live in a place that is so green and beautiful.

There is something to be said about the beauty of the desert though.

Beautiful scenery. Photo is also good to use as background. In some way green environment is being promoted.
